The new segmented plastic container of unique construction, modern and functional design, developed by Entech Group UAB team, was evaluated not only by customers but also by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. This product was ordered by EMP Recycling UAB. The new container received the gold medal at the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year 2013, was also awarded at the contest Best Design 2013 and included into the representative publication Design of Lithuania 2001 - 2013.
As every year, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists was electing the best products of the year. The segmented container for waste disposal, that was developed and designed by Entech Group UAB under the order of EMP Recycling UAB, received the gold medal at the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year 2013. Currently, there are 700 units of such containers produced already. They are standing in various institutions and organizations of Lithuania and promote visitors, employees and guests to dispose electronics and small household appliance waste. They have already become the part of the network www.mesk-i-konteineri.lt
According to Almontas Kybartas, the General Manager of EMP Recycling UAB, the decision to design a completely new product was resulted by a certain demand in the market, but there was no supply, thus something totally new had to be designed. This product had to be distinguished by its excellent functioning (safe disposal of electronics and small household appliance waste), and at the same time to be attractive, easy-to-assemble and disassemble, durable, safe, light-weight and inexpensive. All containers, that have been supplied in the market up to this day, needed much space; it was inconvenient to transport and repair them. In addition, usually there were unaesthetic containers, as a result the companies did not want to have them placed in representative and highly visited places. Therefore, in cooperation with Entech Group UAB a segmented container was developed; it is not only nice and modern, but at the same time easy-to-adapt to a place, where it will stand, so it is functional. A container is particularly easy-to-assemble and disassemble, but protected against vandalism and attempts to remove the electronics and small household appliance waste that is being kept inside. A container is transported easily, because of its light weight and little space needed when disassembled into separate segments. The design of a container is attractive and modern, but it does not stand out of the environment as well as does not disfigure the interior of the place, where it is standing.
A container was developed under a unique technology, reminiscent of Lego constructors for children. Such plastic segments can be used for assembling not only waste containers, but also children furniture, segments of children playgrounds, garden furniture, dog houses, containers for composting biodegradable waste, and various products that can be used in many different fields: not only at home, but also in the fields of industry, services or elsewhere. A product consisting of such segments needs less space for transportation than an ordinary product, because it is delivered as a set of separate parts and assembled into a single structure in place. Moreover, if one of its parts becomes damaged, it can be easily replaced, i.e. there is no need to replace a whole container by a new one.
